In this episode I speak with Andrew Georgiou, the owner of Fury & Son Brewing Company, a Melbourne based craft brewery who won the gold medal for their Pale Ale at the 2016 Craft Beer Awards. Andrew worked as a pharmacist for 10 years until he decided it was time for a shake up, and put the money, time and effort down to grow from a small home brew hobby to a full scale commercial brewery.
In a climate full of emerging craft breweries, it’s really interesting to hear what it takes to start one, and how so many different factors can lead to your success or failure. There are a lot of barriers to entry and it takes real focus and drive to make it work, but we cover it all over the next hour!
